Fall 2022 Camps!

Thanks for your interest in AYF's Camps! We are offering these days of camps to get kiddos moving with some fitness fun, while give parents a chance to take care of personal needs. If camp's can't meet due to rain, then camps will be canceled for the day and you will be offered a credit for a make-up day. We offer a Fit N' Fun Camp or Cycle the City Camp and occasionally offer a full day of both camps!  Most camps last 3 hours with an option for early drop off or staying for lunch.

Cycle the City Camp

Cycle the City Camp is for skilled bikers who can comfortably ride 2 miles on roads and/or trails before a rest stop. CTC Camp starts with a review of biking safety, "rules of the road," and AYF's group-riding rules ("riding as a team"). The daily rides range from 7-12 miles, increasing in both distance and difficulty as the week progresses. The routes include stops at fun destinations like, Zilker Park, Butler Park, Pease Park, Ramsey Park, Mayfield Park, Barton Springs, Austin Nature Center, Central Market, and the 9th Street Dirt Bike Park. Also, stops at public pools, splash-pads, and natural bodies of water, where campers have the opportunity to get wet and cool-off, help them beat the heat and have fun. Campers need their own bike (all-terrain, hybrid, or mountain bike), helmet, and water bottle or water-back-pack.
