Austin Youth Fitness' yoga groups focus on improving flexibility, mobility, and strength. Flexibility and mobility are essential for growing bodies and are beneficial for other sports and preventing injury. Introducing the practice of yoga at a young age is valuable as it helps children connect with their bodies and how they are feeling. AYF athletes will likely see improvements in self-image, confidence, attitude, social-interpersonal- relationship-skills, as well as an increased ability to focus on tasks and schoolwork. Most groups are open to students from any school.
