Game Ideas!

Below are game ideas you and your friends and family will love. Newer games will be added at the top and previous games at the bottom.

NEW Games This Week!

Earth day is April 22nd, so we are going to play an Earth Day Game! For this game, designate person to be the litter bug, they are the taggers. Their job is to freeze everyone with the trash (they can throw a yarnball or paper balls). Designate one kiddo to the be super hero who save the Earth! They will be able to unfreeze frozen runners by having them do 5 jumping jacks or push ups. You can also do some good and clean up and have the students pick up two pieces of trash and throw them away in order to be unfrozen. Play several rounds with different taggers.

Games - 3 or More

  • Sharks and Minnows: Pick one kid to stand on the opposite line (they will be the shark. On you word, the minnows will try to run to the other line and avoid being tagged by the shark. The shark tries to tag as many minnows as they can. If a minnow is tagged, they turn into a shark for the next round.
  • Up/Down Tag: This is a great game involving lots of running! In this game, everyone is it. Runners are trying to tag anyone in the group.  If someone gets tagged, they have to take a knee on the ground. They are only free when the person who tagged them gets tagged and goes down on their knee. So when someone gets tagged, remind them to watch who tagged them so they know when they are freed! This is a great game to call lots of jail breaks so kids keep running and running! If there ever is a tie with tagging, then rock, paper, scissors will be used to break the tie.
  • Bridge Tag - One to two runners are designated the tagger. The other runners are running in a designated space trying to avoid being tagged. If they get tagged, students freeze and put their arms up to make half of a bridge. Another runner who is free has to cooperate with them and make the other half of the bridge. A third free runner also needs to help out and run under the two players bridge they created and everyone is free. Remind the runners to look up when running under someone's
bridge so they don't bump heads. Also reminder taggers of no puppy guarding, everyone should
    be moving!
