Biking Groups


Our focus is improving biking skills as well as improving endurance and participant's overall fitness. Bikers will become familiar with bicycle safety, learn the rules of the road, learn to utilize their gears, and will gain strength in their biking ability. Further, participants will likely see improvements in self-image, confidence, attitude, social-interpersonal- relationship-skills, as well as ability to focus on tasks and schoolwork.

Spring 2020 Group Dates
Session 1: week of January 27th to week of March 9th (6 weeks)
Session 2
: week of March 23rd to week of April 27th (6 weeks)

Most AYF groups are open to students from any school or homeschool. Kids who are interested in participating in our groups, but are older or younger than the listed age-range, are welcome to try a day. Our coaches will advise parents on the group's appropriateness based on the child's skill-level. AISD teachers and staff get a discount for all AYF groups and we offer scholarships. 
Important Biking Group Reminders:
  • Bikers need to always come to biking group with a helmet before being allowed to ride
  • A mountain bike with gears works best for the trails and hills we bike on
  • Check your ABC's before coming (Air, Brakes, & Chain)
  • Use of a Camelbak or water bottle in cage will ensure your biker stays hydrated
